De laatste tijd heb ik bij de kapper, waarboven mijn appartement is gesitueerd, het geluk gehad om een flink aantal films te (her)bekijken. Soort van herscholing, want mijn kennis naderde tot nul. Het is opmerkelijk te zien hoe sommige muk gaat leven in je hoofd, en andere niet. Hoogste tijd dus voor een peiling waar Maurice de Hond een joekel van een erectie zou krijgen.
Om het een beetje overzichtelijk te houden stel ik eenieder voor een persoonlijke Top 5 samen te stellen. Neem ook goede nota van een eerdere forumpost, die helaas door een of ander BrEeZaH sletje in de kiem werd gesmoord. Ik heb er bij mezelf nog niet de vinger op kunnen leggen, maar u wordt aangemoedigd om uw selectie te beargumenteren.

In tegenstelling tot de vele hoerige films waarin je de goede afloop met wapperende amerikaanse vlaggen en overschierende straaljagers en helikopters al van mijlen ver ziet aankomen.
Het is niet het allerbeste verhaal ooit, maar wel een goed verhaal. Het zijn niet de mooiste shots ooit, maar wel hele mooie. Het is niet het meest originele script ooit, maar wel origineel. En dat alles samen maakt van Shawshank een geweldige film.
